This tool is a high-quality alternative for Detroit Diesel 50 and 60 Series engines. It is used to pilot the cam gear and includes the J-35906-4 bolt for early model Series 60 engines.

Warning: Late model Series 60 engines also require the adapter ST-256/J-35906-6A. There is no specific year cutoff, and many manuals do not mention the adapter.
